Designers' Saturday Awards

As part of my ongoing relationship with Designers’ Saturday, I designed the 2025 Designers’ Saturday Awards trophies, continuing my involvement with Norway’s premier design event. For this edition, the trophies draw from my Off the Shelf project, using standard components and materials from the design industry, such as aluminum profiles, rebar steel, or ventilation ducts, reimagined and repurposed into unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. By including the base components the trophies aim to celebrate often overlooked, non-glamourous yet vital parts of our industry. Each piece includes a stone base, one of our most ancient building materials. Designers Saturday partner Luce di Carrara graciously sampled and cut stones from their quarry. Together, these projects reflect my design philosophy: to create measurable value; aesthetic, functional, and commercial; while keeping production close to home, rooted in expertise, and forwardlooking in intent.
