About the studio
Oslo- based designer Jonas Stokke is interested in the things we make, the way we make them and the value they bring. Coming from a family generation of architects and deeply rooted in the Scandinavian tradition, his practice retains a genuine focus on simplicity, hands-on knowledge and cutting-edge fabrication. By blending data with intuition, business with creativity, and form with function, he delivers solutions with clear and cohesive value: aesthetical, functional and commercial. The Studio collaborates with a diverse range of clients and institutions, from small manufacturers to large multinationals as well as architects, developers, emerging startups and NGOs. Before founding his own studio, he co-founded StokkeAustad. The partnership ended when Øystein Austad moved to an in-house role at Flokk, enabling Stokke to pursue his independent vision. From 2018–2022 he chaired Designer’s Saturday, and today he teaches product design at Designinstituttet Oslo and serves as external examiner at both KMD/University of Bergen and NTNU. His work has been acquired by the Norwegian National Museum—a testament to his lasting contribution to contemporary design.
