Stonewood bowl
The Stonebowl was inspired by flat breads found in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. The resulting open sides meant that it would let fruit breathe, and was easy to clean. Most important however is how it feels to the touch.

The biggest challenge with the Stonewood bowl was to translate the original design to the manufactured pieces. We liked the idea of a the bowl consisting of a series of handles, like small loafs of bread attached to the centerplate.

The card model testing how it is to grip and hold the bowl. Rough and quick card models made by hand, provide an infinite amount (well almost) of information compared to a CAD model.
