Tjøme
This chair is built around a faint memory. Specifically, the collapsible deck chairs that are prevalent in my memories of childhood summers. My parents would bring me and my siblings to Tjøme, an island in the mouth of the Oslo fjord. It is characterised by smooth rocks, deep waters, pine, and oak trees. The chair has the same sloping armrests as the traditional deck chairs and a seat that seems to be hanging in the frame.
The sloping armrests extend for the full length of the seat. The shoulders can drop down and relax, while the hand is supported. Supporting the hand is often disregarded in armrests. I believe it is underestimated. It is like the chair grabs your hand.
