Designblok exhibition
Designblok Prague approached us asking for an installation showing our work. The venue was a beautiful abandoned building in downtown Prague. It had a working paternoster elevator even. Instead of working with the existing space, we felt it better to do a clean insertion, dropping four wooden huts into the existing architecture. Inside the rooms or huts, we placed wooden pedestals with a thin veneer on top letting internal light shine through and illuminate the objects from below. The result won an award and turned out to be a favourite among the visitors too, as an owl and a bowl was nicked during the opening party.
From inside one of the exhibition houses. The pedestal contained a sheer wooden top supported by acrylic pane. Inside the box we placed a light source illuminating the objects through the wood surface.
