In the fall of 2016 Jonas started his eponymous design studio in Oslo, Norway.

The Jonas Stokke design studio works with projects ranging from electronics, accessories and furniture to installations and interiors. The client body is equally diverse, from large multinationals to small startups and NGOs. Jonas Stokke is trained as an industrial designer with a BsC (honours) form Brunel University and a MA in product design from AHO, The Oslo School of Architecture and Design.

Jonas had previously founded and ran StokkeAustad with Øystein Austad, a studio which was instrumental in defining the new wave of Scandinavian design from 2005 onwards. An amicable relationship still exists between Jonas and Øystein who is heading up the design department of Scandinavian Business Seating, a long lasting and important client of Jonas Stokke.
